Words, words, words...

What you say and how you say it can have a lasting impact on an audience, but only if you choose your words wisely...
What's the best way to convince someone of something? First, be conversational: don't attempt to persuade a stranger with an insistent argument, but rather engage in a dialogue with someone you care about. Your wording should be simple and direct and not overburdened with business jargon: a conversation with even industry insiders won't sound like one if you rely too much on vernacular.
Next, speak with the confidence of someone who knows the truth and wants to share it. The goal is to show your audience that you fully understand a problem and have the undeniable solution to it. Speak with the certitude and excitement that comes from knowing you can help your audience benefit from embracing what you have to say.
In short: speak the way you would want to be spoken to.
