Pace, cadence, caesuras...these can be vital tools and reference points when speaking to an audience.
The ideal is to keep a relatively quick pace when making your way through more informational content, then slow down when approaching an important point that you want to land.
You want your speaking rhythm to be conversational, relaxed, yet present and direct. You're just talking with friends,
but making absolutely sure they understand the more consequential points you're making.
Pausing for dramatic effect can also be a useful tool for conveying meaning and emphasizing critical content.
It is very important...to use the time you have............wisely.
